I need mental and emotional support

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, navigating a life change or simply wanting to better understand your emotions, a range of mental and emotional well-being resources are available. From counseling and coaching to everyday tools that help you manage stress and build resilience, these resources can help you feel more grounded, supported and like yourself again — one small step at a time.

Crisis

If you or a family member need immediate help, you’re not alone. Trained counselors are here for you anytime through the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline  (Opens in new tab) by call or text.

Quick help

You can also talk to someone quickly through our Headspace Employee Assistance Program  (Opens in new tab). Call 855-420-0734.

One-time or ongoing counseling

To schedule yourself or a family member for up to eight free counseling sessions, visit the Headspace Employee Assistance Program  (Opens in new tab) for confidential emotional well-being assistance in the app and by phone.

Medical plan coverage

If you’re enrolled in an Anthem medical plan, another path to care for behavioral, emotional, mental health and substance use disorder is available:

  • Emergency? Seek care immediately at the nearest hospital. Then, be sure that you or your family member contacts Anthem at 800-359-0640 within the first 24 hours of hospital admission to have care authorized.
  • For non-emergency care and ongoing counseling, contact Anthem at 800-359-0640 before seeking care to confirm coverage, provider network availability and any necessary prior authorization.

Manage your emotional well-being

If you want to build healthy habits, sleep better, boost your resilience and feel better overall, you’ll find online resources  (Opens in new tab) from Headspace. Learn to meditate, reduce stress and anxiety, build emotional intelligence and be happier. You can also get help with being active and find a coach to help you navigate life changes.
