Life events

If you experience certain life events, you can make changes to your benefits outside of Open Enrollment.

Important: To make changes related to your life event, you must inform Edward Jones within 30 days of the event.

Begin your life events/status change request here (must be on Edward Jones network). In a few days, you'll receive an email with instructions for making your elections and submitting your change for processing. You'll need to provide documentation for your life event about six to eight weeks after completing your elections .

Qualified life events

The changes you can make depend on the type of life event. For example, if you have a new baby, you can add the child to your Edward Jones medical plan, but you cannot drop yourself or others from that coverage.

Marriage and eligible partnerships

Divorce, separation, and end of partnerships

Birth or adoption

Death of covered dependent

You gain or lose eligibility for other coverage

Spouse, domestic partner, or child gains or loses eligibility

Change in employment status
