Tuition program

The firm provides a generous reimbursement allowance for associates pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees in subjects that apply to potential Edward Jones career paths. In addition, reimbursement is available for some professional designations such as Certified Financial Planner, Certified Life Underwriter and Chartered Financial Consultant.

  • You must be employed by Edward Jones as a full-time associate for the past 12 consecutive months or longer prior to the first class session and be actively employed in a full-time position at the time reimbursement is made.
  • Client support team and home office associates: You must be in Good Standing (last performance rating must be meets or above).
  • Financial advisors1: Your branch must be Bonus Eligible. In addition, your current performance must be rated "Meeting Expectations" or "Exceeding Expectations." And, you must be in Good Standing with FADS, Compliance and Associate Relations.

The guidelines for reimbursement will vary based on your role at the firm:

  • Client support team: You are eligible for tuition reimbursement for academic courses, but not to pursue professional designations. This is because use of the knowledge and skills acquired through these professional designations cannot be practically applied in the BST position due to regulatory and compliance restrictions.
  • Home office associates: Attainment of the professional designation must be strongly recommended for your current position. If the designation is required for the position, please see your leader.
  • Financial advisors1: All approved designations are reimbursed via Financial Advisor Training's Advanced Training Program, which is separate from the firm's tuition benefit. Please review WEBID608026.
