Life can be stressful – both at work and at home. That is why Edward Jones has partnered with ComPsych GuidanceResources, to offer all associates and their family members an Employee Assistance Program (EAP) to help manage life's challenges. The program contains a wide range of services and resources including: social and emotional support, legal and financial guidance, work-life solutions and more.

EAP resources are available at no cost and are strictly confidential. The program is staffed by experienced clinicians who are reachable by phone or online 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Counseling Sevices

GuidanceResources provides free short-term counseling (five visits or less) with counselors in your area who can help you with your emotional concerns. When you call, you will speak with a Guidance Consultant who will collect general information and talk with you about your needs. The Consultant will then provide the name of a counselor who can assist you. If the counselor determines that your issue can be resolved in the short-term, you will receive counseling through the EAP program. If it is determined you will need longer-term treatment, you will be referred to a specialist and your insurance coverage will be activated.

Mental Health and Substance Benefits

Call GuidanceResources at 866-641-3847 to talk with a consultant about your mental health and chemical dependency concerns. He/she will check your eligibility, explain the program benefits and obtain a referral for you so you can discuss your situation with a local consultant and develop an action plan. If the plan includes continued EAP or specialized behavioral health care, expert clinicians will manage your care reimbursed through the benefit plan.

Whether you are a new parent, a caregiver for an elderly parent, sending a child off to college, buying a new car, doing home repairs or moving, work-life specialists are available to help you find helpful information based on your situation. You'll receive a personalized reference package containing resources and literature specific to your topic.

Speak with on-staff licensed attorneys about legal concerns such as divorce, custody, adoption, real estate, debt and bankruptcy, landlord/tenant issues, civil and criminal actions and more. If you require legal representation, you can be referred to an experienced, licensed attorney in your area for a free 30-minute consultation with a 25 percent reduction in customary legal fees.

With your GuidanceResources benefit, you can get answers to your questions about budgeting, debt management, tax issues and other money concerns from on-staff CPAs, simply by calling.
